omg flash is soo fun  now that im getting used to it. i hope to incorporate some in my final site, so that the website could be more interactive and fun to use.

hopefully it will all work out. late nights at uni during stuvac are not going to be fun

there r still so many things i dont know how to do that i want to do on my website. My video for starters needs to somehow be controlled through flash.

making images transparent in flash is also a skill ihave not mastered yet. sooooo annoying.

the variety of ideas in the class

i really like where everyone is heading with their concepts. All of the websites continue to impress me forcing me to do something different. i doubt i could live up to the competition with my crappy IT skills.

Today’s presentation

What a mess!!! i was not expecting sooo many questions… i’m not sure if i answered them as i should have, though i did know the answers to most of the questions. (Even if it didn’t look it, lol). the questions and feedback were very helpful. it has pushed me to make the concept clearer, and to explain restrictions and benefits for both the users and food places/ shops. i plan for my final website to have a very clear prototype, distinct sections for the users and the business owners.

A Discussion

Today i managed a discussion group of 5 customers of a cafe in Earlwood. the results were very good. After describing my application, i asked them wat they thought about it. Some points that were raised:

1. privacy with the system knowing where you are. (Gps placing you as a dot and buzzing you when leaving a cafe, restaurant, shop, etc).

2. they generally liked the idea, and were able to relate to many situations where they could use the system.

Shame that there werent too many negatives

3. some wanted it to also apply to entertainment (knowing when and where concerts, etc are playing), and also hotels.

4. they liked the idea that it was so easy to get into the system. fuss free. no menus to go through to get to the system.

5. they suggested that the ratings that contradict your own, should start to be eliminated after approximately 5 contradictions.

6. they liked the idea that when overseas the system would be extremely useful.

shame i didnt get too many negatives. though it was good that a good discussion happened.
